Dr. Chukwudi Dimkpa, a close political ally of the former Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi has emerged as Rivers State Chairman of the African Democratic Party (ADC).
Dimkpa, emergence follows the party’s Congress, which held in the state at the weekend despite uncertainties about the national leadership of the party.
Recall that some state chapters of the ADC cancelled their congresses
following a court judgement which voided the Senator David Mark-led National Executives of the party.
However, the Rivers State chapter loyal to Amaechi went ahead with its congress leading to the emergence of Dimkpa.
Meanwhile, the immediate-past chairman of the party, Chief Leader Sampson in a message on his verified social media handle has congratulated the newly elected EXCO.
He also called for support for the party to ensure success in the forthcoming elections.
“As ADC State Chairman Rivers State I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the newly elected executives. Your dedication, passion, and commitment to our cause are truly inspiring. Together, we will forge a path towards progress and unity in our party.
”Let’s work hand in hand to achieve our goals and make a positive impact, ” he wrote.
A former state house of assembly member, Sam Etetegwung was elected as Secretary of the party.
Etetegwung represented Andoni constituency between 2007 and 2011.
